Frequently Asked Questions

  • Once the artwork and project design are finalised, delivery can be expected within the range of  6 to 12 weeks, depending upon the complexity of the project.

  • Your product must arrive in perfect condition. We prefer to deliver your project personally and provide this service Australia wide. For bespoke entrance doors, additional services include installing and fitting locks and other door furniture.

If this is not practical or possible, most likely due to distance, your project will be professionally packed in a purpose-built crate before dispatch to ensure protection. The client must then retain the services of a qualified tradesperson in the clients local area to provide these services upon delivery.

  • If the client is prepared to arrange international freight, we would happily pack your project in a purpose-built crate and assist in delivering it to the relevant freight depot.

  • Depending on the client's preference, copper can be protected from corrosion so that it remains shiny or left unprotected and will develop a natural patina over time due to exposure to the elements. Either way, copper is robust and will not deteriorate in its integrity.

The copper can be protected or unprotected. For Projects with a combination of copper and Australian hardwoods, the timber will be heavily protected from ultraviolet degradation and weathering with a two-pack hard oil or other products such as polyurethane, depending on the desired finish.

If a bespoke timber door requires periodic maintenance, such as annual exterior oil replenishment, advice on the relevant product and a maintenance schedule will be provided.

  • All products, particularly entrance doors, will be individually measured to ensure a correct fit. It is never assumed that a door is a standard size. Should a client require assistance in correctly measuring a door cavity before production, we can assist, or a local tradesperson to the client will be engaged for this purpose.

  • Generally, our clients have a rough vision of the finished artwork. However, often they require assistance in developing the finer details. Unless the client has finished artwork that they want to have rendered in the final product, our artist Emma Harris will collaborate closely with the client to turn a sometimes vague inspiration into a captivating work of art. Sometimes this process is straightforward and relatively quick, and sometimes it can take weeks of to-ing and fro-ing with a series of "roughs" and sketches, exchanging media samples and discussions.

Clients can expect to be treated with enduring patience and absolute determination throughout this process. For us, this collaborative process with the client is gratifying, as developing beautiful works of art is our passion. One unique feature of our products is that each piece will remain unique and never be reproduced.
